Job description

We're currently looking for highly motivated, self-sufficient individuals that are extremely productive and driven to produce the highest quality results in a fast-paced, demanding atmosphere for our retail division. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a variety of construction projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. Team members are required to have tools and to maintain a valid driver's license. Travel is required for this position. The location will change depending on the project.
Requirements
  • OSHA 10 or equivalent or willingness to obtain this certification within 60 days of employment. Groom will pay for course if passed.
  • Protect surrounding work surfaces and finishes.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion
  • Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and structures
  • Operate painting tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Follow project specifications, safety guidelines, manufacturer's installation instructions and quality standards
  • Inspect completed work for quality and touch up as necessary
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ideally, can install Wallpaper per manufacturer's instructions

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a commercial painter or similar role
  • Knowledge of surface preparation, paint application techniques, and finishing methods
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license.
  • Ability to comfortably climb ladders safely.
  • Must be capable and willing to work overnight shifts
  • Ability/Willing to travel throughout the US when needed (retail division only)
  • Ability to perform daily essential physical functions of safely lifting up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to read and respond professionally to company emails.
  • Professional appearance should represent Groom well.
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a professional manner
