Description
ABOUT INTELLISOURCE
IntelliSource is a national outsourcing partner specializing in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), and Total Talent Management. With deep roots in high-volume fulfillment, distribution, and manufacturing operations, IntelliSource delivers end-to-end solutions that drive measurable results - on time and on target. We bring the sophistication of a national firm with the responsiveness of a regional partner.
ABOUT THE ROLE
IntelliSource is seeking a seasoned Building Manager to take full operational ownership of a fulfillment and distribution center on a fixed-term contract engagement. This is a high-impact, project-based role designed for a proven operations leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments and is looking for a structured contract opportunity with a clear end date, competitive compensation, and an attainable completion bonus.
The Building Manager will own all outcomes, from inbound receiving through outbound shipping, and will be responsible for the full performance of both front-half and back-half operations, a complete supervisory staff, safety compliance, and a Train-the-Trainer program. This leader sets the standard, builds the culture, and drives the numbers.
Contract Duration: Immediate start through an estimated date on or around December 31, 2026 with final dates based on business demands. Project completion bonus equivalent to 20% of total salary paid upon meeting specific project milestones or the final delivery.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Building Operations Ownership
    • Own all operational outcomes across the full FC/DC (inbound, outbound, pick, pack, ship, and returns)
    • Serve as the single accountable leader for building performance including throughput targets, SLA compliance, and cost management
    • Align front-half and back-half operations to daily and weekly volume requirements; resolve cross-functional bottlenecks at the building level
    • Maintain operational readiness across all shifts and departments; proactively escalate risk to IntelliSource and client leadership

  • Supervisory Leadership
    • Lead, develop, and hold accountable a full staff of Inbound and Outbound Senior Operations Managers, front-half and back-half supervisors, and frontline leads
    • Conduct regular performance reviews; provide direct coaching, feedback, and career development guidance to all direct reports
    • Build a team culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, and associate respect
    • Oversee scheduling, staffing models, and shift coverage in partnership with HR and workforce planning

  • Safety & Compliance
    • Establish and maintain a world-class safety culture aligned with OSHA standards and IntelliSource safety protocols
    • Own recordable incident metrics and drive continuous reduction in near-miss and injury rates across all shifts
    • Oversee safety orientation, ongoing training, and incident response procedures in partnership with the safety team
    • Conduct regular safety walks, hazard assessments, and corrective action reviews

  • Train-the-Trainer Program
    • Design, implement, and sustain a robust Train-the-Trainer (TtT) program that enables supervisors and lead associates to onboard, develop, and retain new talent independently
    • Certify internal trainers and assess program effectiveness through structured competency evaluations
    • Continuously update training materials to reflect process changes, productivity standards, and safety updates

  • KPI Management & Reporting
    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly KPI dashboards across both inbound and outbound operations; drive corrective action when performance falls below target
    • Deliver consistent operational reporting to IntelliSource leadership and the client
    • Own root cause analysis for performance gaps and lead structured continuous improvement cycles

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)
  • The completion bonus is tied to achieving 85% or greater across the following KPIs at project close:
  • Units Per Hour (UPH) throughout Building
  • Order & Receive Accuracy Rate
  • On-Time Shipment Rate
  • Dock-to-Stock Cycle Time
  • Inventory Accuracy
  • Safety Recordable Incident Rate (RIR)
  • Associate Retention (90-Day)
  • Train-the-Trainer Certification Rate
  • Schedule Adherence / Attendance Rate

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required
    • Minimum 7+ years of progressive operations leadership with full-building accountability at a fulfillment center, distribution center, or comparable high-volume logistics facility
    • Demonstrated track record owning P&L, all operational KPIs, and cross-functional teams simultaneously
    • Direct experience leading both inbound and outbound operations at the site level
    • Proven success building and managing multi-level supervisory teams in 24/7 or multi-shift environments
    • Hands-on experience designing and operating a Train-the-Trainer program
    • Strong OSHA/safety compliance background with a documented history of reducing recordable incidents

  • Preferred
    • Prior experience in a contract, interim, or project-based building management role
    • Familiarity with WMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP Warehouse, or similar)
    • Experience leading FC/DC ramp-up, startup, or peak-season operations
    • Six Sigma, Lean, or continuous improvement certifications

  • Candidate Profile
    • A self-directed, results-driven leader who executes with urgency and builds high-performing teams quickly
    • Exceptional communicator across all levels - from frontline associate to client executive
    • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure, process, and culture from the ground up
    • Seeking a high-impact contract role with a defined timeline, clear milestones, and meaningful financial upside tied to measurable performance

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with FC/DC General Manager or Operations Director-level market benchmarks
  • Salary range of $127,800 - $156,200 + bonus
  • Project completion bonus equivalent to 20% of total salary paid upon meeting specific project milestones or the final delivery
  • Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Contract end date on or around December 31, 2026 with final dates based on business demands; potential for engagement extension based on mutual interest
