Job Summary:
The GDI Ainsworth family is looking for an energetic team member with commercial work experience to responsible for performing routine and specialized maintenance and repairs in various areas such as buildings, equipment, and grounds. This may include tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and janitorial duties or other specialized work as required by client facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Performance of specialized maintenance work as required. Examples may include operation and maintenance of heavy machinery e.g. excavators/graders, maintenance of vehicles, basic millwork and carpentry repairs, roadways and grounds maintenance, maintenance of dock locks and levelers, maintenance of door systems, roofing repairs, etc.
  • Coordinating and overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Completion of electronic or paper-based records of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • 3+ years' experience in the maintenance field with commercial experience
  • Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and repairing or replacing faulty parts
