Job description

About the Role:
As a CBRE Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings and equipment.
This job is part of the Facilities Management team. They are responsible for providing preventive maintenance and repairs of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
What You'll Do:
  • Perform tasks, such as but not limited to, changing light bulbs, repairs or replacement of restroom fixtures and locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance, workstation assembly and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman.
  • Readily takes direction from Facility Manager and Facility Coordinator. Willingly supports Building Maintenance Technicians upon requests.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and document status using systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You'll Need:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
