Job Overview: ย 
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess a diverse set of maintenance skills, including painting, plumbing, woodworking, concrete repair, electrical work, and a willingness to tackle various miscellaneous tasks, as well as some light administrative responsibilities. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the appearance and functionality of our managed building, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our residents and visitors.ย 
Compensation: $33-$37/hr.ย 
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.ย 
Your Responsibilities:ย ย

General:ย 
  • Respond to homeowner maintenance requests as required.
  • Assist with proper record-keeping and planning of maintenance projects around the building.
  • Coordinate with 3rd-party vendors to ensure proper upkeep of various building elements such as HVAC system, water treatment system, pools and spas, landscaping, elevators, and grounds.
  • Complete additional maintenance tasks assigned by management, ensuring the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the building.
Painting:
  • Perform proper setup and cleanup for painting projects.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting and ensure proper adhesion.
  • Repair and repaint drywall as needed.
  • Repair and re-stain wooden fences and gates.
Plumbing:
  • Unclog sinks, toilets, showers, and drains.
  • Diagnose and repair leaks and malfunctioning toilets.
Electrical:
  • Troubleshoot and repair light fixtures and ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Replace light bulbs and switch plates as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience and expertise in painting, plumbing, woodworking, and electrical work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor as needed.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license may be required
Education & Experience:ย 
  • Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of the safe practices, methods, tools, and materials of the maintenance industry.ย 
  • Technical training or certification in a relevant field is a plus but not required. ย
