Job description

To be certified in the category of Building Inspector (Residential Roofing) candidates shall have at least one of the following: (aa) Possess a current roofing contractor certificate issued by: (1) The Miami-Dade County Construction Trades Qualifying Board and not less than one-year field experience; or (2) The Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board and not less than one year of field experience. (bb) Possess a current certification as a Building Inspector (General) in Miami-Dade County and hold a State of Florida Standard Roofing Inspector License or a personal certificate from the Miami-Dade County Construction Trades Qualifying Board as a Roofing Inspector or Roofing Contractor. (cc) Possess a current certification as a Building Inspector in Miami-Dade County and hold a personal certificate as a General Contractor issued by the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board, provided the number of the license shall be less than #7837 (dd) Possess a current license from the State of Florida as a Registered Architect or Engineer and one year of roofing experience.

(ee) A Standard Building Inspector license issued by the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board with a minimum of one year of supervisory field experience and eligible for examination under (aa) or (bb) above.
