Project Manager โ€“ Building Envelope/Structural Restoration Engineering

CSG is seeking a motivated Project Manager to support senior engineers and project teams in the execution of building envelope and structural restoration engineering projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with 3โ€“5 years of experience who are looking to expand their handsโ€‘on expertise in construction consulting, project management, and building envelope engineering. This position offers a dynamic combination of fieldwork (75โ€“80%) and officeโ€‘based engineering responsibilities, providing exposure to multiple active projects each week. You will play an important role in coordinating project activities, observing construction progress, and helping transform technical designs into successful realโ€‘world solutions. If you excel at turning technical blueprints into finished realities while maintaining close attention to budgets, schedules, and quality standards, we want you on the CSG team.

Location and Work Environment

McLean, VA or Columbia, MD (Flexible Work Location)
75โ€“80% fieldwork on active construction sites
Exposure to 5โ€“10+ projects per week
Combination of new construction and restoration projects
Work performed in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC area, with occasional outโ€‘ofโ€‘town travel.

Responsibilities
  • Support senior engineers with project coordination, document control, and project execution
  • Review submittals, plans, and specifications for compliance with codes and design requirements
  • Attend client, contractor, and coordination meetings and communicate project updates effectively
  • Assist in resolving field issues and construction challenges while maintaining accurate project documentation
  • Perform quality control inspections, testing, and review deliverables prior to client submission
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while handling sensitive information professionally and discreetly
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field of study
  • 3โ€“5+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or related field
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to perform fieldwork, including working at heights
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
