Job description

A WORLD LEADER IN TESTING, INSPECTION & CERTIFICATION SERVICES
Bureau Veritas offers dynamic, exciting employment opportunities with an attractive salary/benefit package and an opportunity to play a vital role with a global organization. If you would enjoy working in a dynamic environment and are looking for an opportunity to become part of a stellar team of professionals, we invite you to apply online today.
Bureau Veritas is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, citizen status, sexual orientation, genetics, status as a protected veteran, or any other non-job-related characteristics.
This position is responsible to ensure equal opportunity in employment in that all persons are treated equally and on the basis of merit, in decisions regarding selection, placement, promotions, training, work assignments, transfers and other personnel actions.
City: Augusta
State: GA
You know code. You know construction. You know people.
Now build something bigger.
At Bureau Veritas, we're looking for a fully certified ICC professional who can do more than inspect buildings. We want someone who can build trust, strengthen partnerships, and help grow our presence across Georgia.
This role is perfect for someone who:
  • enjoys being out in the field and connecting with people
  • understands the realities contractors and municipalities face
  • wants autonomy and visibility instead of sitting behind a desk all day
  • is energized by relationship-building and community impact
  • wants to help shape and grow a market, not just maintain it

Whether your background comes from municipal inspections, third-party consulting, construction management, or a combination of all three, we'd love to talk with you.
Why Bureau Veritas?
What we do matters.
At Bureau Veritas, our work goes beyond inspections and code enforcement. We help communities grow safely, support municipalities under increasing pressure, and provide trusted expertise that protects the health, safety, and welfare of the public every day.
As one of the nation's leading providers of code compliance and building safety services, Bureau Veritas partners with municipalities, developers, contractors, and property owners across the country to help projects move forward efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and integrity.
Our teams are made up of experienced ICC-certified professionals who actively participate in:
  • code development and adoption processes
  • industry leadership initiatives
  • legislative and regulatory discussions
  • continuing education and professional advancement

We believe technical expertise matters, but so do relationships, communication, and credibility in the field.
At Bureau Veritas, you'll find:
  • the stability and resources of a globally respected organization
  • the flexibility and autonomy to manage your work like a professional
  • opportunities to grow your certifications and career
  • leadership that understands the realities of the field
  • a collaborative culture where knowledge-sharing is encouraged
  • the ability to make a visible impact in your region and community

This is not a role where you disappear into a massive corporate machine. The work you do, the relationships you build, and the reputation you develop genuinely matter here.
We're looking for professionals who take pride in their expertise, enjoy solving problems, and want to be part of a company that values both technical excellence and human connection.
What You'll Do
Perform High-Level Inspections
  • Conduct residential and commercial combination inspections
  • Review projects for compliance with applicable ICC codes and local ordinances
  • Interpret and communicate code requirements clearly and professionally
  • Document findings and maintain accurate inspection records
  • Serve as a trusted technical resource for contractors, developers, and municipalities

Help Grow the Business
We're specifically looking for someone who can help expand relationships and identify opportunities in the Augusta market and surrounding region.
You'll:
  • build relationships with municipal leaders, contractors, developers, architects, and engineers
  • support client retention and growth initiatives
  • identify opportunities for expanded services
  • represent Bureau Veritas at meetings, industry events, and within the community
  • help strengthen our reputation as a trusted partner in building safety

What We're Looking For
Required Certifications & Experience
  • ICC Residential Combination Inspector Certification
  • ICC Commercial Combination Inspector Certification
  • Experience performing code inspections in municipal or third-party environments
  • Strong understanding of ICC codes and code enforcement practices
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

We'd Especially Love to Meet Someone Who:
  • enjoys networking and community engagement
  • can balance technical expertise with customer service
  • thrives working independently
  • sees themselves as both a consultant and problem-solver
  • wants to help grow a territory and make an impact

Additional ICC certifications are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
We believe great people deserve more than just a paycheck. At Bureau Veritas, we offer a competitive compensation package designed to support your career growth, well-being, and life outside of work.
Highlights Include
  • Competitive salary with potential vehicle and cell phone allowances
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Generous paid time off program
  • Paid holidays, including a floating diversity holiday
  • Paid parental bonding leave
  • Tuition reimbursement and a culture that actively supports professional development, additional ICC certifications, and long-term career growth
  • Opportunities for growth within a nationally respected organization
  • A flexible, relationship-driven environment where your expertise is valued

Our benefits are designed to support employees both professionally and personally while creating long-term career stability and growth opportunities.
The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here
The people who succeed at Bureau Veritas tend to be:
  • technically sharp without being rigid
  • collaborative without needing micromanagement
  • relationship-oriented without losing accountability
  • confident communicators who can earn trust in the field
  • motivated by purpose, professionalism, and growth

If you've built your career on integrity, credibility, and practical problem-solving, you'll fit right in here.
