Job Summary:

The PT Building Engineer at Desert Diamond Arena will assist in all engineering calls on a day to day basis and during events, sports, entertainment and concert productions. Participates in the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance program and plan of action to resolve problems if they arise. Will monitor and personally perform work orders as needed to ensure timely completion and quality. Partner with the Event Services department on show related requests; continuously monitors building needs and is responsible for the day-to-day repair and maintenance of the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Complete pre-event checklist, turn on elevators and perform preventative checks to ensure everything in venue is turned on, working properly and ready for event.

Perform facility operational tasks required in keeping up the facility on non-event days.

Respond to event calls to performance routine maintenance on facility restrooms, lighting and other issues that arise and need to be addressed during an event.

Ensure all equipment is maintained properly and arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment is placed when necessary.

Work closely with operations and other departments on projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience

2. Working knowledge of facility operations

3. Working knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and equipment

4. Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as event schedule requires

5. Ability to meet deadlines and function in a fast-paced setting

6. Ability to lift/push/pull or otherwise move 30 lbs. unassisted

7. Able to communicate effectively

8. Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task

9. Forklift certification not required but strongly preferred
