Job Summary
EMCOR Services Combustioneer has an immediate opening for a Automation Specialist in Lanham, Maryland. This position will be responsible for BAS system integration duties and will report directly to the BAS (Building Automation Systems) Senior Project Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Core responsibilities are listed, other responsibilities may be assigned as required.
• Preconfiguring controllers for field installation:
• Creation and termination of DDC control panels to ensure complete and precise installation
• Pre-functional testing of control panels and associated devices
• Configuration of remote communication access points
• Assist startup technicians with initial site configuration
• Assist quality control personnel to turn over a complete and functioning system
• Support test & balance efforts
• Create and implement floorplan graphics
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM focus or minimum 4yrs apprenticeship within the HVAC construction trades
• Three to five years of related BAS-N4 programming/install, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Niagara N4 certified
• Minimum of 7-10 years experience with building automation systems and components
• Proficient in logic programming and wiring diagram creation
• Command of technical language involved with automation and mechanical systems
• Understanding of the automation process
• Highly motivated with ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have professional and welcoming attitude and experience managing small and medium sized-construction projects.
• Experience in a Mechanical Service and Construction environment focused on both plan/spec and design/build scopes is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, self-motivated and interpersonal skills.
• Must have extreme attention to detail, experience handling sensitive and confidential data, superior organizational skills and multitasking ability to meet overlapping deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Physical Demands
• This position requires the ability to walk and climb stairs and ladders on multi-story projects. This may include tight and difficult situations and uneven terrain.
• This position includes occasionally assisting loading or unloading materials in the warehouse
• This position includes extended periods of sitting at a workstation
