Selected candidate will be responsible for installation, diagnosis, and repair of environmental-comfort systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, hydronic theory, and modern control techniques.

Summary:
  • Responsible for installing and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools and laptop computers, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC equipment.
  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs instruments and products at a customer's location.
  • Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining the building layout, anticipating potential issues, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
  • Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies.
  • Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, mis-calibration, malfunction, and drift).
  • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
  • Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
  • Supports HVAC Field Technicians by providing technical assistance and offering guidance.
  • Provides training and follow-up training at a customer's site.
  • Utilizes project plans to prioritize and schedule work sequences.
  • Determines parts to order for repairs and the timeliness of need.
  • Provides technical support to customers.

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license with a safe driving record (no violations within the past 3 years)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, and programming
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Problem-solving skills

Requirements:
  • Must have an associate's degree from 2-year college or technical school in HVAC, Computer Science or related field
  • 2-5 years of HVAC Journeyman experience
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience programming and performing start-up and commissioning on any brand Building Automation System.
  • Must have field experience in installation techniques and servicing/troubleshooting/repairing BAS equipment
  • Tridium AX and/or N4 certification and Distech and/or Trane experience a plus
