Job Requirements
The Building Automation Technician (Integration Specialist) IV serves as an advanced-level technical expert responsible for leading the integration of advanced building automation system (BAS) projects. This role functions as a key technical leader, driving system optimization, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. This position may provide technical guidance to less experienced Integration Specialists.
Compensation
The expected pay range for this position is
$33.93-$68.40 per hour , depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
Stark Tech reasonably expects to pay within this range at the time of hire. Individual compensation is determined based on several factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology preferred.
- At least Six (6) years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC, electrical, or related technical fields, preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of construction or HVAC industry, control theory, automatic temperature controls, and building automation systems.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, specifications and submittal information required.
- Mastery of low-voltage building sub-systems integration using protocols such as BACnet, LON, SLC, TCP/IP, RS-485, and other relevant industry standards.
- Advanced technical skills in troubleshooting, system optimization, and the integration of network controllers, hardware, and software.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor Integration Specialists I-III.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, coworkers, and project stakeholders.
- Creative problem-solver with a positive attitude & strong customer service skills.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
- Must be able to deal with a large volume of work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
