Description
Are you an experienced Building Engineer/Maintenance Technician who would enjoy solving complex maintenance issues and completing preventative maintenance at a number of commercial properties?

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician/Building Engineer in our Menomonee falls multi building facility. In this key role you will be assigned to a portfolio of commercial properties. You will monitor the properties, conduct regular walk throughs, organize, coordinate and manage the overall maintenance programs, preventative maintenance, and repairs to the systems including the basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. You must have working knowledge of all typical building mechanical systems, including heat pumps with cooling towers and boilers, building automation system, air handlers, electrical, plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security systems to ensure proper operations and be able to act upon any conditions that are out of the ordinary. You will obtain bids, negotiate contracts and assist with budget preparation, maintain cost-effective inventory control, complete reports as required, respond to emergency calls as needed, maintain effective communication with staff, owners and/or board members regarding maintenance issues/projects.

The ideal candidate will have an advanced technical education or certifications relevant to facilities maintenance, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in building operations, engineering and equipment and systems maintenance. You must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and make recommendations to the team and the ownership/board. You will be working largely on an independent basis with direction from the Commercial Property Manager. Strong customer service, communication, follow through, detail orientation and computer skills are necessary to be successful in this role.We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer
