Job description

Location Redmond,WA Description Our client, a leading global real estate and facilities services organization, has an exciting opportunity for a Building Automation Specialist to support an innovative smart buildings program at a large corporate campus in Redmond, WA. This 5-month contract role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with experience in building systems, diagnostics, and smart building technologies who enjoys working at the intersection of facilities operations and technology. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Job Description: • Observe, document, and present building condition issues to management, facilities teams, and project stakeholders • Integrate and maintain connectivity between mechanical systems and smart building platforms • Monitor, maintain, and validate building system data points and historical data accuracy • Investigate and troubleshoot data loss, communication outages, and system visibility issues within building infrastructure platforms • Analyze system anomalies and provide recommendations to resolve undesirable building conditions • Coordinate and direct repair and maintenance activities related to fault detection and diagnostics • Track and measure building system and platform performance metrics • Maintain and improve documentation, knowledge base articles, and platform processes • Train team members on platform functionality, operational procedures, and system design • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders • Ensure digital security standards and operational policies are followed • Communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences • Work with multiple Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor system performance and building conditions • Collect, analyze, and manage building system and diagnostic data to support operational efficiency • Support air quality monitoring and building performance initiatives • Assist with energy-focused smart building projects and continuous improvement efforts Must Have Qualifications: • Minimum of 2+ years of experience supporting building systems, building automation, or systems integration environments • Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) • Working knowledge of HVAC systems and air quality systems • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends and system anomalies • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel • High school diploma or GED required; trade school experience is a plus Nice to Have Qualifications: • Understanding of building automation and integration systems • Experience with data analysis and system diagnostics • Experience with fault detection or diagnostic systems • Experience supporting energy management or smart building initiatives • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Pay is $30-$32.45/hr based on experience.
