Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director to lead our Room Control line of business within a Building Automation Systems (BAS) environment. This role drives product innovation, operational execution, and long-term growth across a portfolio of room-level control solutions, including controllers, sensors, and integrated BAS applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead business and technical operations of the Room Control product line (DDC controllers, room devices, software)
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance
  • Partner with Product Management to define and execute BAS-focused product roadmaps
  • Collaborate with the CTO on system architecture and new product development (BACnet/IP ecosystem)
  • Ensure integration with enterprise BAS platforms and cross-functional alignment
  • Oversee delivery of complex product development initiatives
  • Track and report on KPIs, performance metrics, and SR&ED activities
  • Support Sales and field teams with technical expertise
  • Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in building automation or controls
  • Experience managing complex NPI development and cross-functional teams
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Experience with room control applications (VAV, fan coils, heat pumps)
  • Strong understanding of BAS systems, DDC, and protocols (e.g., BACnet/IP)
  • Background in embedded systems or controls product development
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Delta Controls, Tridium Niagara, or similar

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience will be considered
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.
