Job description

Craft Your Career with BrassCraft Manufacturing Company!
BrassCraft is seeking a strategic, commercially focused Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Home Builder and National Repair & Remodel contractor segments. In this role, you will help shape and execute the long-term growth strategy for these channels, secure new business, expand strategic customer relationships, and position BrassCraft as a preferred partner across the residential construction and remodeling market. You will work closely with builders, remodelers, contractors, wholesale channel partners, and key decision-makers to grow profitable revenue, increase market share, influence product specification, and deliver customer-focused solutions that create long-term value.
What You'll Do
  • Own and execute the national growth strategy for the Home Builder and National Repair & Remodel contractor segments.
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business with national and regional builders, remodeling companies, and specialty contractors.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that expand customer penetration, revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Build relationships with executive leaders and key decision-makers across strategic customer organizations.
  • Drive product specification opportunities and strengthen brand preference throughout the construction and remodeling lifecycle.
  • Lead national agreement, rebate program, promotional, and strategic partnership negotiations.
  • Interpret customer, competitive, channel, and market developments to recommend commercial strategies and business solutions.
  • Collaborate with distributors, manufacturers' representatives, and cross-functional teams to execute growth initiatives.
  • Represent BrassCraft at industry events, builder conferences, contractor meetings, and trade shows.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of sales, business development, national account management, or channel management experience.
  • Experience working with home builders, remodeling contractors, general contractors, or within the residential construction industry.
  • Demonstrated success developing strategic customer relationships and achieving sales and profitability objectives.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, business planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel approximately 40-60%.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing national or regional builder accounts.
  • Knowledge of residential construction, plumbing, heating and cooling, building products, or related categories.
  • Familiarity with major home builders, multifamily developers, and remodeling organizations.
  • Experience working through wholesale distribution channels and manufacturers' representative networks.

Why Join BrassCraft?
Join a trusted, market-leading company with well-known brands, strong channel partnerships, and a clear growth opportunity in the builder and contractor market.
In this role, you'll have national scope, meaningful customer exposure, and the opportunity to shape how BrassCraft partners with builders, contractors, distributors, and industry partners to drive market expansion and profitable growth.
Hiring Range: $125,000-$150,000
Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
