Job description

CONFIDENTIAL - DENVER METRO MANUFACTURER
AI Builder
Location: Denver Metro Area (On-Site) Type: Full-Time Salary: $65,000 - $95,000
Posted: Now Hiring
About the Company
We're a Denver-area manufacturer headquartered in the south Denver metro. Founded nearly twenty years ago, we've grown into one of the most recognized names in our industry - Inc. 5000, Colorado Companies to Watch, debt-free, and serving clients across all 50 states. We're keeping our name out of this posting on purpose; we'll share details once we connect. What you should know upfront: we move faster than our industry expects us to, and that's not by accident.
We're hiring our first AI Builder to help us continue moving faster. AI has changed what one focused person can build in a week, and we want that energy on our team.
About the Role
The AI Builder will work directly with company leadership to design, build, and ship internal tools, automations, dashboards, and client-facing experiences using modern AI-first development tools. This is not a traditional software engineering role. It's a role for someone who has figured out how to use Claude, Cursor, Replit, Lovable, n8n, and similar tools to ship working products faster than traditional engineering teams can.
You'll report directly to senior leadership and work close to the projects that actually move the company - sales tools, marketing systems, internal dashboards, and rapid prototypes.
What You'll Do
  • Build internal sales tools - quote builders, proposal generators, lead-scoring dashboards, and follow-up automations
  • Create marketing systems - landing pages, ad creative workflows, AI-assisted SEO content pipelines, campaign reporting
  • Develop client-facing tools - quoting calculators, project trackers, design visualizers, and onboarding experiences
  • Design internal dashboards that pull data from CRM, ERP, and operations systems into one place leadership can use
  • Build workflow automations that connect existing tools (CRM, email, project management) so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Rapidly prototype new ideas from leadership - turning concepts into working tools in days, not quarters
  • Stay current on the AI tool landscape and proactively bring new capabilities to the team

What We're Looking For
  • You've built something real - an app, tool, automation, or workflow - primarily using AI tools, and you can show it to us
  • You can point to a specific week where you got 5x or 10x more done than you would have a year ago, because of how you use AI
  • You think in systems and outcomes, not just code syntax
  • You can pick up a new platform or tool within hours and produce something useful
  • You know when to prompt your way to a solution and when to actually write code
  • You're self-directed and obsessive about figuring things out - you don't wait for tutorials
  • You can communicate clearly with non-technical people (our leadership and sales teams) and technical ones alike
  • You can name three AI tools you used this week and explain what you built with them
This Role Probably Isn't For You If...
  • You believe AI-assisted development is a shortcut or "not real" engineering
  • You need a perfectly defined tech stack and multi-week planning sprints before starting work
  • You've never shipped something outside of a classroom or structured job setting
  • You're primarily a traditional software engineer who's dabbled in AI but prefers writing everything from scratch
  • You'd be uncomfortable working at a manufacturing company instead of a pure tech shop - this is a real business with real revenue, not a Series A startup
  • You're only open to fully remote work - this role is on-site at our Denver-area HQ, full stop

Tools We Use
Familiarity with several of these is a strong signal - you don't need expertise in all of them: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Lovable, Replit, n8n, Zapier, Make, Bolt.new, Notion AI, Airtable, Webflow, Supabase, V0 by Vercel, basic Python, APIs and webhooks.
Compensation & Details
Base Salary $65,000 - $95,000 / year (depending on experience and scope)
Employment Type Full-time, direct hire
Location On-site at our headquarters in the Denver metro area
Schedule Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, in office (sometimes a little extra when projects need it)
Reports To Company leadership
Education No CS degree required. Proof of work matters more than credentials.
