Who We Are
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Computer Operator III to support the NITE government program in Key West, Florida. In this role, the operator will handle a broad range of complex operational challenges, including configuring nonstandard equipment setups, rerouting processing to work around equipment or circuit issues, and creating specialized system configurations to support test activities without disrupting active operations.
This position frequently requires independent judgment and deviation from standard procedures to prevent data loss, optimize system performance, and respond to system outputs or error conditions-actions that can directly influence production timelines. The operator will also work extensively away from the control station, providing technical guidance to junior personnel and collaborating with programmers, systems analysts, and subject matter experts to diagnose and resolve system-level issues.
This is a CBA Hourly position and the starting pay is $29.49
What You Will Do
  • Operates and maintains Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) computers and peripheral equipment.
  • Enters flight data for mission into the TCTS Mission Line Up (MLU).
  • Interacts with mission coordinator and squadron for timely mission data receipt and input into MLU.
  • Verifies all information received from the squadron are correct and is accurately reflected on the Joint Display System (JDS).
  • Monitors all live missions and notify supervisors of any malfunctions or stoppage immediately.
  • Assists Range Training Officers (RTO)/Controllers with JDS and communications equipment set-up and operation for live missions.
  • Input, monitor and change radio frequencies as necessary.
  • Archives previous mission data and prepares for entry of new flight data into system for next mission.
  • Starts and stops mission recording and sets up debrief rooms for mission replay.
  • Assist RTO/Controllers and pilots with running replays.
  • Enters data for the daily mission(s) into Range Information Management System (RIMS).
  • Documents maintenance actions in Integrated Enterprise Management System (IEMS).
  • Operationally qualified within 6 months and maintenance qualified within 1 year of hiring date.
  • Cross-trained and qualified to operate multiple TCTS systems.

What You Must Have
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years related experience.
  • Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License.
  • Candidate must have computer maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
  • Candidate must be familiar with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook e-mail applications.
  • Candidate must be proficient with computers and computer operations.
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable with the proper handling of classified material.

  • College level computer courses or certificates preferred
  • Experience supporting range operations.
  • Navy Tactical Combat Training Systems (TCTS) experience.
