What youll be doing

The Striper Foreman / Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a striping crew on job sites, ensuring that pavement marking projects are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role involves hands-on work operating striping equipment, managing crew members, coordinating logistics, and serving as the point of contact between the field team and management. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, technical experience in striping, and a commitment to safety and quality.

  • Lead and supervise striping crew on various job sites including parking lots, roadways, and commercial properties.

  • Operate and maintain striping equipment (airless sprayers, walk-behind and ride-on machines, thermoplastic applicators, etc.).

  • Interpret blueprints, site plans, and project layouts for accurate execution of striping patterns and markings.

  • Coordinate daily work schedules, material needs, and job site logistics.

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company standards, safety guidelines, and local regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, and office staff regarding job progress and requirements.

  • Conduct pre- and post-job inspections to ensure quality control.

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to build crew skill level and productivity.

  • Complete job paperwork, daily reports, and timekeeping accurately.

What skills and experience you'll bring to us

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2โ€“5 years of experience in pavement striping or related field, including team leadership.

  • Proficient with layout tools, striping equipment, and materials.

  • Strong understanding of traffic control and safety procedures (MUTCD knowledge a plus).

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and site layouts.

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).

  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and long hours, including travel to job sites.
