Job description

JOB DUTIES:
  • Starting hourly wage $18.00 per hour
  • Build eye catching displays
  • Build and maintain A-B displays and restock/rotate shelves in retail accounts
  • Working closely with off-premise sales personnel in grocery and convenience store accounts
  • Install and place permanent and paper point of connection materials
  • Ensure proper stock rotation in assigned accounts and notify appropriate personnel of potential freshness issues
  • Complete and submit on a timely basis administrative paperwork: daily, weekly, monthly reports, point-of-sale booking forms, etc.
  • Provide support for sales promotions and special events
  • After completing required training, provide relief coverage for sales territories in Sales Reps' absence when necessary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Interact professionally and personally with grocery and convenience store account representatives, employees, managers, and guests
  • At assigned accounts, build and stock promotional displays
  • At assigned accounts, sell primary and secondary product placement for assigned brands
  • Complete and maintain weekly reports and other related documentation
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds frequently and 170 pounds occasionally and push/pull 2,500 pounds occasionally

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds frequently and 170 pounds occasionally and push/pull 2,500 pounds occasionally
  • Employee does not pose a direct threat to the safety or health of him/herself or of others
  • Ability to be issued and hold an Indiana Salesman's Permit Pursuant to 905 IAC 1-8
  • Must be able to constantly maintain a motor vehicle record that is satisfactory to management
  • Must be able to constantly maintain a motor vehicle record that meets requirements of company's insurance carriers
  • High School Diploma or GED certificate required. 1-2 years of college education preferred
  • Prior retail sales / merchandising experience a plus
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong internal and external customer orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
  • Ability to safely operate job-related equipment (hand truck, pallet jack, etc.)
  • Ability to hang merchandise and able to fulfill other physical requirements including: Repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs overhead), bending, pulling/pushing (Push/pull up to 340 pounds on a two-wheeler)
