Position: Budtender/Sales Associate
Location: Hopewell, NJ

Sky Cannabis is a recreational marijuana store offering a variety of adult use marijuana products. SC sources its products from premier producers.
Overview of Position
The Budtender is a cannabis expert and face of SC to our customers. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, constant desire for self‐improvement, and attention to details. This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the Company from the ground up, and to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time. This position is available Monday to Sunday. Budtender will provide high level customer service and dispense at a designated station when the General Manager, per state guidance, deems safe to offer this full service experience to SC patrons. The Budtender will showcase premium cannabis by sight and smell as well as the process of dispensing at the point of sale. Budtender will execute this experience successfully while maintaining compliance.

 Duties and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Budtender include providing 1:1 consultations with customers, education with detailed product knowledge to advocate and advise customers face‐to‐face and by phone. The Budtender will also be able to handle all sales associate duties as it relates to cash handling with the POS system and ensuring compliance with inventory. An SC Budtender must possess a passion for the cannabis plant and have a detailed understanding of terpenes, trichomes, strains, methods of consumption and the science of the Endocannabinoid System. The Budtender will assist other sales associates as a team player fielding questions and providing resources and knowledge for the collective success of the SC retail dispensary operation.
- Greets customers in person or on the phone in a friendly, authentic and empathic demeanor
- Perform sales tasks as required by General manager and in compliance with State requirements
- Maintains customer records in compliance with State law and Company policy
- Answers questions about the law and the Company from customers and others
- Assists customers in selecting products; advises and educates them about safe dosage and other aspects of the products
- Assists General Manager with inventory and cash management, daily and weekly
- Maintains a clean, safe, welcoming environment inside and outside the facility
- Understands the team schedule; flexibility to cover weekends in a high volume dispensary
-.Dispense premium cannabis at designated point of sale stations, following strict SOPs as to dispensing, packaging and labeling the SC products.
- Performs other additional duties as reasonably assigned by employer
Qualifications
Education

∙ High school diploma or equivalent
∙ 2 years post‐secondary education in a related field preferred
Work Experience Required
∙ 2+ years’ cannabis specific experience in a fast‐paced customer-service intensive industry – cannabis retail backgrounds preferred, experience in similar regulated industry preferred
∙ Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept, lead, and complete additional projects or challenges
Required Knowledge
- Computer & equipment operations necessary for completing sales transaction with a POS system;
- Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Thorough understanding of State Laws governing cannabis
- Arithmetic necessary for basic inventory and cash management
- Familiarity with all aspects of cannabis products required: terpenes, trichomes, methods or consumptions, cannabis science, and detailed knowledge of products offered at the SC dispensary.
