For over 50 years, BSN SPORTS has been the largest team sporting goods equipment and apparel distributor of choice in the United States. Our 3,000 BSN SPORTS employees strive to support the Heart of the Game by putting valuable time back into the day of coaches and administrators through excellent service platforms. Our company mission is simple: Save coaches and administrators time with everything they do off the field so they have more time to impact young lives on it.

WORK TYPE: Full-time Hybrid - Must reside and travel at least 2-3 days per week in the territory.

Compensation: The standard pay range for this role is $120,000- $150,000 plus the possibility of BSN managerial bonus plan.

LOCATION DETAILS: Greater Sacramento Area

  • This job operates in a hybrid environment between a home office, school, community, and event environments (home office and field-based position).

  • Territory sales - must currently reside in/near the location full-time to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities.

WORK HOURS: Hours may vary based on the team and customer's needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Travel in the field with Sales Pros to help develop new accounts and increase sales in current accounts - expected to be ten (10) or more business days a month as well as time participating in regional Coaches Clinics/Shows, conferences, and territory events.

An Area Sales Managerwill represent Varsity Brands by demonstration of company core values in driving the highest ethical standards of conduct in all business activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Sales Management & Training: Coach/train Sales Pros on product knowledge, professional sales techniques, company culture and procedures; motivate Sales Pros to exceed goals and develop professional sales habits; resolve problems on a timely basis; and ensure Sales Pros adhere to company policy.

  • Business Development: Travel in the field with Sales Pros to help develop new accounts and increase sales in current accounts - expected to be ten (10) or more business days a month.

  • Recruiting: Develop a pipeline of future Sales Pros; interview and recruit the best talent to join the BSN SPORTS team.

  • Sales: Ensure sales pros in assigned territory meet or exceed sales and margin goals.

  • Territory & Company Development: Evaluate account performance reviews to budget and forecast sales of products. Assist Regional Sales Director and Sales VP in planning and presentations for sales meetings, participate in regional trade shows, lead weekly regional sales huddles and team / individual training sessions.

  • Experience training new employees.
