What's the role?

The Business Solutions Architecture (BSA) Intern will work within the HERE Customer Organization (CCO AMER), embedded with the Business Solutions Architecture (BSA) team. The BSA team supports customer-facing technical engagements and plays a critical role in accelerating time-to-value for HERE customers. The Intern will be responsible for leading and contributing to projects that improve BSA effectiveness through AI enablement, workflow optimization, and technical documentation. The intern will liaise with BSAs, Sales, and other Customer Organization stakeholders as suitable to achieve project goals.

Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the BSA Intern will be to lead or be a key contributor to the projects described below. The intern will also aid with the ad hoc day-to-day projects supporting the BSA team, which entails undertaking of the following:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the BSA team's role, workflows, and engagement models
  • Interview and collaborate with Business Solutions Architects to identify friction points, recurring needs, and enablement opportunities
  • Map BSA processes, workflows, and customer engagement touchpoints to identify opportunities for AI and automation
  • Build and maintain enablement assets such as internal knowledge repositories, AI agents, automations, or workflow tools
  • Support the creation of internal or customer-facing demo applications and technical artifacts
  • Document BSA enablement solutions to support scalability and reuse across teams
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and provide regular project updates to BSA leadership
  • Participate in relevant team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions
  • Other tasks as assigned
Who are you?

This is a full time (40 hours per week) paid internship opportunity for 12 weeks. Interns will be required to work on-site at our downtown Chicago office 3 days per week. Candidates who meet this location requirement and agree to the hybrid working arrangement requirement will be considered for this position.

You are:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university  (incoming Sophomore, Junior, Senior or graduating Senior)
  • Strong interest in applied AI, automation, or technical enablement within a business or customer-facing environment
  • Local to Greater Chicagoland Area with access to reliable transportation to Chicago-Randolph Office (ability to work on-site 3x per week)
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Other qualifications that will be given consideration are as follows:

  • Familiarity with software development concepts, APIs, workflow automation, or AI-based tooling
  • Coursework or experience related to computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, or a related technical field
  • Experience with process documentation, knowledge management, or enablement materials
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, actionable documentation and present to internal stakeholders

Soft Skills:

  • Self-starter who can work independently with curiosity and confidence to ask questions
  • Ability to quickly understand complex technology subjects and learn through on-the-job experience, training courses, and self-directed research
  • Ability to adapt to communicate respectfully within a diverse cultural environment and effectively work within geographically dispersed teams
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines

This is a paid internship with a fixed hourly rate of depending on your level of education as follows: 

Undergraduate Students:           $25/hr 

Full-time -  40 hours per week.
