Job description

Manager Maintenance

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to manage and direct maintenance technicians to ensure the reliable operation of all production equipment, facilities, and utilities in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maximizing equipment uptime, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety, safety, and sanitation compliance to support the Amboy facility.

What you'll do: 

  • Manage, lead, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to complete maintenance work effectively and efficiently in the facility. 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance plans for the facility. Schedule and manage daily maintenance work (PMs, work orders, etc.).
  • Oversee contractors/projects in conjunction with engineering team. 
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance budget to ensure the right materials are available when needed and spending falls within budget. 
  • Drive improvements in equipment reliability through strong preventative maintenance practices, SOPs, and training of maintenance technicians/operators. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to create a culture that aligns with our food quality and employee safety standards.


What you'll bring: 

  • 5+ years of relevant maintenance management experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on maintenance, operations, or engineering experience. Ability to complete root cause analysis. 
  • Strong organizational, communication, analytical, communication, strategic thinking, and ability to prioritize tasks.
    Experience using computer systems/maintenance software.
  • Experience dealing with pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, ammonia, HVAC, and cooking/heating system preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering preferred - or equivalent experience.
