Job description

Job Summary:
Registers patients for hospital services; gathers current patient information for hospital purposes; schedules patients for procedures/tests; informs patients of hospital procedures and policies. Operates the switchboard to relay incoming and interoffice calls; pages to patients, physicians, employees and guests; transmits all emergency codes to proper personnel; acts as hospital receptionist; welcomes patients and visitors to the hospital and directs to correct location within the hospital.Education and
Experience:

High school graduate; computer experience to include Microsoft Office programs, medical terminology preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to type 25 WPM; accuracy and attention to detail is required; good communication skills; ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing and pulling; motor coordination to work with patients and equipment.
