Job description

We are looking for a results-driven Process Engineer to join our team as the link between Engineering, Production, and Quality. In this role, you will lead the implementation of new processes, ensure compliance with GMP and SQF standards, and drive productivity, quality, and cost optimization. You will also support continuous improvement, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and help deliver safe, high-quality products that meet customer expectations while aligning with Sensient's business goals of service, quality, cost, and safety.

What you'll do:

  • Further develop Amboy's KPIs and key process parameters to effectively monitor and measure the performance of the process and use these measures to drive improvement. The focus will be on throughput, identifying and eliminating bottlenecks, minimizing downtime, improving turnaround times, and adjusting process parameters. There will be yearly savings and productivity targets set.  
  • Identify other cost reductions and resource efficiency opportunities.  Own the development of these ideas and monitoring of these for the site.
  • Supports capital project planning by providing input to capital plans and prioritization & giving inputs that support the business cases. This position will provide input to business cases where they involve productivity, cost savings, or resource efficiency improvements.  This position will support the startup of new processes or changes.
  • Troubleshoot the Amboy processes, including support the determination of root causes, for example in determining reasons behind first pass quality failures.
  • Utilize Six Sigma or Kaizen to
  • drive process improvement (training will be provided/required if not already certified)


What you'll bring:

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering is preferred
  • Experience working at another food manufacturing facility to understand GMPs and food safety practices
  • History of successful project implementation
  • Ability to communicate with peers, management, plant employees, and contractors is vital
  • Capable to multi-task numerous projects and understand the urgency around them.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
