Job description

Brown University Health, the affiliated partner of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, has an opening for a board certified or eligible radiation oncologist. Working as part of the team at St. Annes Hospital, our community-based hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts we provide the most current cancer diagnosis and treatment options. Our world-renowned physicians and specialists form multidisciplinary teams, both in the hospitals and at the Brown University Health Cancer Institute Ambulatory Care Centers. Physicians with experience and/or interest in Gynecological radiation therapy and Brachytherapy are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the job:

  • Join a team of 16 other radiation oncologists, 24 medical physicists and dosimetrists, 12 RNs, 1 NP, 34 radiation technologists
  • Provide general radiation oncology services with the ability to develop subspecialty interests
  • Participate in tumor boards at St. Annes and Newport Hospitals (located within 20 minutes of each other)
  • Brown Academic appointment with the opportunity to teach residents, medical students, engineering students, and medical physics graduate students
  • The Brown University Health Radiation Oncology Network treats 4,500+ new patients annually
  • Time is split .8 clinical and .2 protect research/admin time
  • Our Brachytherapy Center is one of the busiest in the country
  • Call is 1:4 weeks
  • State-of-the-art department with strong ties to engineering and public health schools
  • This is a system wide program with a robust clinical trial portfolio and strong research administrative infrastructure
  • This position is unable to support visa candidates

  • Board certified or eligible physician with residency training in radiation oncology
