L3Harris is searching for a technical professional to join the Operations Support team supporting IP systems engineering activities, collaborating with internal and external teams, and working independently on projects. This position is on site and is located at L3Harris offices located in Melbourne, Florida

Essential Functions:

  • Updating, troubleshooting, and enhancing COTS solutions such as Solarwinds Orion, Cisco Prime, Infoblox DDI, CA/Broadcom NFA, Splunk, SNMPc, etc.
  • Designing and implementing new enterprise systems to meet emerging program requirements.
  • Strong ability to step through complex problems and troubleshoot through to resolution.
  • Scheduling and executing maintenance requests for proactive engineering projects and break fix scenarios.
  • Interacting directly with vendors for issue resolution.
  • Monitoring, analyzing and troubleshooting daily status of the health of infrastructure and services within an operations center utilizing management and monitoring tools.
  • This position may require weekend and after-hours support. 
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance or a FAA Public Trust Security Clearance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in network monitoring protocols/methods such as SNMP, NetFlow, and Syslog.
  • Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Fujitsu, RAD.
  • Experience in Implementation/Administration of one or more Network Management Systems (Orion NPM, Splunk, CA/Broadcom NFA, IPAM, Infoblox, Cisco Prime Infrastructure).
  • Experience with Networking principles and systems functionality, with the ability to troubleshoot OSI layers 1-7 throughout a COTS environment.
  • Experience with Linux OS (RHEL/CentOS) and Microsoft Windows OS.
  • Experience adhering to deadlines and complete tasks on-schedule.
  • Work well in a diverse team environment and with customers.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects according to business needs.
  • Knowledge of SNMP, DNS, MS SQL, PowerShell.
  • Experience with Agile software development and the systems engineering lifecycle.
