What is the difference between Broadcasting vs Video Production?
| Aspect | Broadcasting | Video Production |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Often requires a degree in communications, journalism, or broadcasting | Typically requires a degree in film, media, or related fields |
| Work Environment | Television/radio stations, live studios, or networks | Film sets, corporate videos, online content studios |
| Industry Usage | Used mainly in media outlets for live or scheduled broadcasts | Used across various industries for producing videos for different purposes |
Broadcasting focuses on delivering live or scheduled content via radio or TV, often in a studio environment. Video production involves creating videos for multiple platforms, including online and corporate settings. While both fields require media-related skills, broadcasting emphasizes live transmission, whereas video production centers on pre-recorded content creation.

Job description
The Account Manager is a core driver of client success at The Moran Group. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, execution, and relationships-someone who can move quickly between topics, keep details straight, and serve as a trusted extension of both the client and the Account Director.
Account Managers act as the connective tissue between clients and internal teams. You'll help translate client goals into clear plans, manage complex workflows, analyze performance, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks-all while maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism.
Candidates must have a minimum of 18 months of full-time agency experience and proven client service experience.
Why This Role Matters
- You are often the day-to-day face of the agency to the client
- Your organization and follow-through directly impact client trust and results
- You help turn strategy into action-on time and on budget
- You support Account Directors while independently owning key responsibilities
Client Communication & Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary liaison between clients and internal agency teams
- Manage day-to-day client communication with clarity, confidence, and professionalism
- Anticipate client needs and proactively raise questions, risks, or opportunities
Project & Workflow Management
- Oversee broadcast and digital projects from kickoff through launch
- Request, review, proof, and coordinate approvals across creative, media, and production teams
- Manage trafficking, timelines, and deliverables to ensure flawless execution
Meeting Preparation & Leadership
- Prepare clear, well-organized client presentations aligned to a defined agenda
- Confidently present materials to clients, with or without an Account Director present
- Capture, distribute, and manage meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups
Performance & Results
- Review, analyze, and communicate campaign results
- Translate data into insights and recommendations, often within client-facing presentations
- Use performance data to inform next steps and strategic decisions
Media, Offers & Compliance
- Assist with budget management, including digital budgets, co-op, estimates, and reporting
- Coordinate legal and offer approvals, including disclaimers, FTC guidelines, and state regulations
Research, Analysis & Strategic Support
- Conduct data analysis and research to support strategy and planning
- Jump between projects and subject areas efficiently without losing attention to detail
Task, Deadline & Team Management
- Manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
- Maintain strong organizational systems to track tasks, timelines, and approvals
- Participate in training and support team development across roles
Required
- Minimum of 18 months full-time experience in an advertising agency
- Proven client service experience
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Strategic thinker who can also execute
- Ability to shift quickly between topics, priorities, and clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Comfort working with data, reports, and presentations
- Team-oriented, conscientious, and accountable
Preferred
- Experience with both traditional and digital media
- Familiarity with budgets, co-op programs, and performance reporting
- Generous, flexible paid time off
- Competitive compensation
- Paid training and ongoing development
- 401(k) with company match
- Cell phone reimbursement
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Flexible spending account and additional benefits
The Moran Group is a fully integrated advertising agency with more than 40 years of experience helping clients grow and lead in their markets. We manage everything in-house-from strategy and media to creative and production-allowing our teams to do thoughtful, connected work that delivers real results.
