  • Encouraging the children's creativity and imagination
  • Maintaining gentle but firm boundaries, comfortable encouraging the children to take responsibility and teaching them about consequences
  • Assisting in their sporting activities, encouraging regular outdoor play and exercise
  • Occasional light cooking, tidying and general organisation, although this is a fully staffed household and so this won't be a regular requirement
  • Regular domestic and international travel with the family including to the UK, Europe, and the Hamptons
  • Occasional babysitting or proxy parenting (the parents sometimes travel without the children)
  • Maintaining the educational routine over the holidays - planning fun activities that tie in with their curriculum and learning, as well as a consistent approach to the fundamental skills
  • Preparation for travel including packing, planning and scheduling activities, and general coordination
  • Organising enriching activities and museum visits for days off school/weekends or during holidays

  • Organized and professional, while also warm and friendly
  • Educated and very focused on childhood development
  • Comfortable supporting children with school projects and homework
  • Considerate, proactive, full of initiative and with strong communication skills
  • Previous experience with similar aged children and in a fully staffed household essential
  • Strong swimmer and happy to supervise and engage with children in and around water
  • A flexible and pitch-in approach to the role and general household support
  • A strong and verifiable background in supporting children educationally
  • French and/or Spanish-speaking candidates would be preferred (but this isn't essential)
  • Dog-friendly - the family occasionally care for a small, friendly dog
  • Available from 7th September at the latest

  • From $50-$65/hr, DOE
