Job Overview:

As the Service Center Manager at Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC), you will play a pivotal role in the efficient management and operation of one of our nationwide service centers. This position requires a dynamic leader committed to overseeing daily operations, ensuring profitability, and driving team success. You will be responsible for managing the operational and financial aspects of the service center, fostering a collaborative work environment, and maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

โ€ขย Running a successful service center overall according to costs and profits

โ€ขย Understanding and adhering to both State and Federal laws to ensure compliance with ย  corporate Human Resource, Legal, andย  ย  ย Environmental compliance

โ€ขย Mentoring your team of employees to foster a collaborative work environment

โ€ขย Maintaining a clean workspace that invites customers and provides comfort for them to return

โ€ขย Developing local marketing programs to increase service center awareness

โ€ขย Conduct training sessions (utilizing the Super Pro Training System) for service center employees and technicians

โ€ขย Scheduling staff, ordering service center inventory, and managing day-to-day obstaclesย 

โ€ขย Ensuring employees adhere to VIOC policies and procedures

โ€ขย Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Standard Operating

โ€ขย Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

โ€ขย Perform vehicle inspections in required states. Safety or Emissions

โ€ขย Rotate tiresย 

โ€ขย Other tasks as assigned by the Company.ย ย ย

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

โ€ขย Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

โ€ขย Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices

โ€ขย High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in a shop environment where employees are required to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The job requires mobility to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head. Employees should be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled setting, with occasional exposure to fumes and loud noises. Flexibility for open scheduling is also required.

  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, crouching, and working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
