Trillium Construction is now hiring Civil foreman for work around the Norwalk, CT area!

Trillium is hiring Civil/Piledriving foreman for heavy highway/bridge construction for the reconfiguration of the Walk Bridge in Norwalk, CT.

The Walk Bridge was constructed in 1896, and the structure also carries four tracks of Metro-North commuter rail and Amtrak systems. This is a possible temp-hire position with this project lasting 5 years; however, this contractor has several other very similar jobs around MA and CT. The company specializes in building and reconstructing highways, bridges, railways/amtracks, and transit facilities around the NE region. The ideal candidate should be skilled in heavy civil construction and have previous experience with bridge work, and/or heavy highway work. Candidates should have plenty of relevant experience and be asked to oversee a crew of 4-6 trade workers. Will be asked to Drive H piles for foundation work and also help rig steel into place. Will be hand digging, dragging hoses around, and helping form and pour concrete for large MSE walls.

This could lead to long term work with this contractor. Most all of the jobs are prevailing wage; this one starts at $73.22 and could go up depending on/if what site they move you to after. Looking for candidates around the New England region, but per diem of $125/day worked is offered to those that qualify!! Looking to start ASAP!! Day shift from 6 AM - 4 PM daily Mon-Friday, with some Saturdays as needed. Will mainly get around 50 hours per week.

-Will need experience with lining the forms for bridge/foundation forms.
-Candidates should have experience in carpentry work and pouring/finishing concrete as well.
-OSHA 10 is highly preferred along with prior experience in this type of project.
-Must wear all PPE required for the work, and proper tools for the job.
-Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings
-Have reliable transportation to and from the job
-Have previous experience in heavy civil/bridge/highway work
-Minimum of 5 years of experience as a foreman in roadway/bridge construction
-Should be well versed in several types of construction trades (able to piledrive/concrete/rig)
-Able to work well with Superintendent to plan, organize, and prioritize daily activities to meet project objectives
