Overview
Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), is expanding our team, and we are looking for a motivated Bridge Engineer Principal to develop and lead bridge design projects in the Pennsylvania market. Based in our Pittsburgh, PA office, this senior role is responsible for business development, project delivery, quality assurance, and staff development.
This position offers the opportunity to lead and collaborate with top engineering professionals while supporting the continued growth of our transportation practice across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia, as well as expanding national markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead bridge project planning, design, and delivery to create an excellent client experience
  • Support the development and execution of CEC's transportation growth strategy through best-in-class client service and relationship development.
  • Lead and collaborate on project pursuits, proposals, scopes, and schedules
  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, including coordination with geotechnical, roadway, permitting, and other technical disciplines
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of project deliverables
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff across all career levels
  • Support business development efforts and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering Licenses (P.E.) in Pennsylvania, or ability to be registered through reciprocity
  • 15+ years of proven success leading bridge design projects Proven success in proposal development, client management, and business development
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and/or Civil 3D, and bridge design software
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and team leadership skills
