Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), is expanding our team, and we are looking for a motivated Bridge Engineer Project Manager to develop and manage bridge design projects in the Pennsylvania market.  As a Project Manager in our Pittsburgh, PA office, project leadership and staff management are key responsibilities, along with the ability to work with team leaders on business development efforts.

This position will provide both professional and technical growth opportunities. The position will be focused primarily on the Pennsylvania market, but will also support our transportation practices in Ohio and West Virginia as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead bridge structural design, plan development, and delivery to create an excellent client experience
  • Provide technical leadership through design oversight and review of bridge design calculations, reports, and plan sets
  • Support the execution of CECโ€™s transportation growth strategy by providing best-in-class client service
  • Collaborate on project pursuits, proposals, scopes, and schedules
  • Coordinate multi-discipline design efforts including geotechnical, roadway, permitting and others
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers

At CEC, our employees enjoy a flexible/hybrid work schedule. Our comprehensive benefits package includes bonus recognition, based on performance, as well as participation in our employee stock ownership program. Additionally, we conduct annual performance reviews, provide goal setting opportunities, and have mid-year professional development reviews.

Endless perks are available to employees at CEC! Our office boasts a full-scale gym, cafรฉ serving breakfast and lunch, and recreation roomsโ€”creating the perfect balance of wellness and productivity. Throughout the year, employees enjoy ping pong, pool, cornhole, and pickleball tournaments as well as the annual summer picnic, themed happy hours, and fun team building activities including go-kart racing and curling!  We also understand the importance of reaching beyond the office and giving back to the communityโ€”CEC employees volunteer for trail workdays to enhance local parks, maintain a CEC-designed pollinator garden for our office campus, and organize an annual charity golf tournament.  At CEC Pittsburgh, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture of connection, collaboration, and growth within the office and in our community.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering license (P.E.) in Pennsylvania, or ability to be registered through reciprocity
  • 10+ years of experience in bridge design and project management
  • Proficiency with MicroStation/Open Roads and/or Civil 3D and bridge design software
  • Strong communication and project management skills
