Job description

Engineer in Training – Bridge Engineering

Location: Albuquerque, NM – full‑time, office‑based role.The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program. Experience or certification as an Engineering Intern with up to 2 years of civil design focused on bridges or structures is required. The role is designed for a self‑starter who thrives in a professional, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic design of bridge and structural elements.
  • Support production of construction plans, details, and documents.
  • Complete quantity take‑offs and cost estimating.
  • Coordinate with internal and external disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure timely task completion.
Required Skills
  • Strong work ethic and solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Proficient in CADD (AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation). Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and MicroStation is highly preferred.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities for colleagues, senior staff, and clients.
Compensation

Hourly earnings: $70,000 – $85,000+ (dependent on experience).
