Job description

Avery Brewing Co. Avery Brewing Co. is actively hiring for our Front of House Team in the brewery's high-volume Restaurant and Tap Room. A Beertender/Server will work as part of the team to provide a world class brewery experience for each guest by delivering prompt and accurate service and exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities:
  • Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of the Avery Brewing Co. Restaurant: "We are dedicated to creating Contagious Loyalists through exceptional service and unbounded hospitality, delivering a world class product each and every time!"
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude with all employees and customers Deliver World Class customer service to all guests
  • Educate guests on our beer portfolio, food menu, and brand history
  • Guide guests in selecting Avery beers using beer style and flavor knowledge Take orders from guests and enter them into our POS system, Toast
  • Clean and bus tables
  • Work well independently and within a team.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints; communicate with management as needed Cross train in other FOH positions and support other sections as needed
  • Stay educated about Avery beer through classes, blind tastings, and self-study

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates professionalism and good judgment Great communication skills
  • Previous experience in the craft beer or service industry is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates who are enthusiastic about hospitality and have a desire to learn.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Safe Alcohol Service Training, Certified Beer Server, or Cicerone certification is a plus
  • Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to: lifting of 50 pounds or more, extended amounts of standing, stooping, crouching, and climbing, and working outside.

Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays is required.
Compensation & Benefits:
Avery offers above average benefits and perks for restaurant employees. $13.80/hour starting rate plus pooled tips which averages to about $30-$40/hour.
