POSITION: 2nd Shift Flex Custodian (Tuesday - Friday (3PM - 11:30PM)
Saturday (8AM - 4:30PM)
STARTING DATE: TBA
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. A high school diploma
2. Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
TERMS OF
EMPLOYMENT: 1. Work year: Twelve-Months
2. Salary and fringe benefits to be established by the Board of Education.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Educational Support Personnel.

JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE OF THE POSITION:
Custodian (Tuesday - Saturday)
LOCATION OF THE POSITION
Bremen High School
REPORTS TO:
Building Manager/Chief
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Ensure that all doors are locked.
Open doors at assigned times.
Pick up any garbage at main entrance.
Call/advise Groundskeeper and Building Manager/Chief when snow removal is required.
Remove snow from all entranceways and salt for ice on sidewalks and ramps.
Report any break-ins, trespassers or vandalism to Police and the supervisor.
Pick up all trash and empty all trashcans daily.
Clean bleachers. This includes the seats and mopping up any spills.
Dust mop and sweep floors.
Wet mop or run floor scrubber.
Clean any marks on walls.
Clean windows on doors.
Clean and disinfect water fountains and spit sinks daily.
Dust all locker tops.
Clean all marks on walls and lockers.
Clean and disinfect all sinks and toilets daily.
Wash all windows.
Dust and disinfect all exercise and Industrial Tech machines.
Clean all windows, doors and mirrors daily.
Empty all sanitary boxes and replace liners daily.
Refill all soap, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers daily.
Clean all toilet stalls daily.
Pick up all trash at main entrance doors and grounds.
Take all garbage to dumpsters and make sure the lids are closed.
Replace burnt out lamps.
Report any maintenance needs or repairs to the Building Manager/Chief.
Additional duties as assigned.
BREAKS:
All breaks are in the custodial break room and will be set at the building level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
WORK ENVIROMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
