As a Breast Ultrasound Technologist, you will use your technical expertise, critical thinking, and patient care skills to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging. You'll support daily operations, maintain equipment standards, assist physicians, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Excellence

Perform high-quality diagnostic breast ultrasound exams-including routine, emergent, portable, biopsy, and intraoperative procedures-in accordance with departmental protocols.

Apply strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and sonographic imaging techniques.
-
Acquire, label, and document images accurately; discuss findings with radiologists as needed.
-
Ensure complete and accurate patient information in all clinical/RIS systems.
-
Participate in QA activities and report equipment issues promptly.
-
Support operational flexibility by rotating shifts and taking on-call assignments (including holidays).
-
Maintain productivity and meet established accuracy/error standards.
Patient Care

Provide a safe, compassionate, and patient-centered imaging experience.

Confirm patient identity and review clinical history prior to imaging.
-
Recognize signs of distress and respond to clinical emergencies appropriately.

Utilize sterile technique where applicable.

Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams.

Notify radiologists immediately about urgent or critical exam findings.

Maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms and assist in department workflow.

EDUCATION
