In this role, you will operate entirely remotely, utilizing a state-of-the-art therapy platform designed to facilitate seamless interactions with your clients through secure video or text sessions. We prioritize minimal administrative burdens—our team manages client acquisition, billing, and paperwork—allowing you to focus solely on providing care.

As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Counseling clients through scheduled video chat sessions, creating a safe and supportive environment for discussion.
• Encouraging clients to openly share their emotions and personal experiences to foster therapeutic progress.
• Assisting clients in setting and achieving their individualized therapeutic goals, employing evidence-based practices tailored to their needs.
• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and advising clients on healthy coping mechanisms and strategies.
• Monitoring and documenting client progress throughout their treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care.

You will primarily work with adult clients who have been thoroughly screened to ensure they are stable and possess low acuity needs. This environment allows for focused and effective therapeutic relationships, as your clients will be individuals seeking support for a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Fully licensed to practice independently, without supervision, in California as one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Effective communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
• Proficiency in using computers and telehealth platforms to facilitate sessions and administrative tasks.

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in teletherapy or online counseling will be highly regarded. Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and an understanding of the telehealth landscape can give you an edge in providing effective care.
