What You'll Do

Depending on your assigned position, you'll be responsible for producing and preparing high-quality bakery products while maintaining our commitment to food safety, consistency, and exceptional quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare, bake, decorate, assemble, or separate bakery products according to job role, company recipes, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Measure, mix, prepare, and finish products while following established production procedures.
  • Decorate cakes with precision while maintaining presentation and consistency standards (Cake Decorator).
  • Separate, organize, package, and prepare finished bakery products for distribution and sale (Separator).
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, Health Department, and company regulations.
  • Properly operate, clean, and maintain bakery equipment.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production schedules and deadlines.
  • Assist with inventory rotation and quality control.
  • Cross-train and support other bakery or storefront departments as business needs require.
  • Work collaboratively with store leadership and fellow associates.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous bakery, cake decorating, food production, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred.
  • Passion for creating high-quality bakery products.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and understand conversational English.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification (where required).
  • Availability to work at least 20 hours per week for part time employees, 32 hours per for full time employees.
  • Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability is strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent physical activity, including:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements while preparing bakery products.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and lifting.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Working around hot ovens, bakery equipment, and temperature-controlled environments, including coolers and freezers.
