Primary Dutiesย
- Assists with the development and operation of the BRAVO program.ย
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates customer care needs as it relates to therapeutic recreation.ย
- Assists the person receiving services in understanding their various needs and limitations and how to manage them.ย
- Coordinatesย activities that will support learning and assistance in the following areasย of:ย self-care, sensory/motor development, socialization, daily living skills, communication,ย pre-vocational skills,ย community living and social skills.ย
- Develops curriculum for pre-vocational and vocational activities and training.ย ย
- Monitors and develops the individual program plan.ย
- Conducts on-site and offsite activities and classes for customers.ย
- Assists with transportation for customers between different locations.ย
- Documents customer care in health records according to standards.ย ย
- Completes all internal and external documentation for BRAVO program.ย
- Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.ย ย
- Maintains up to date knowledge of regulations including Medicaid standards and DDS regulations.ย ย
- Assists with the coordinationย andย bridgingย of the ICM BRAVO andย Supported Employment programs.ย ย
- Trains and certifiesย (if applicable)ย Job Coaches, BRAVO Connectors, and BRAVO Store Managers forย the ICM BRAVO and Supported Employment programs.ย ย
- Attends various conferences and training sessions as needed.ย
- Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.ย
ย Qualifications/Specificationsย
- Education:ย High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelorโs degree is preferred.ย ย Will consider additional experience in lieu of degree.ย
- Experience:ย Minimum of 2ย yearsย experienceย inย therapeutic recreation.ย ย ย
- Essential Technical/Motor Skills:ย Ability to perform tasks efficiently.ย Able to type and use computer efficiently.ย Able to operate various office equipment such as copier, multi-line phone system, and fax machine.ย
- Interpersonal Skills:ย Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff, clients, and customers in an effective manner exhibiting tact, enthusiasm, and patience.ย Must be a self-motivator with ability to take ownership of job responsibilities.ย Must have strong organizational skills.ย Demonstrated ability to work with mentally, emotionally, or socially impaired individuals.ย ย ย
- Essential Physical Requirements:ย Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and theย ability to perform job related duties which may require lifting, standing, bending, stooping, stretching, walking, pushing, and pulling with or without reasonable accommodation.ย

Work Scheduleย
Forty hours per week, Monday through Friday.ย Hours and days will vary to accommodate the needs of the department.ย Weekends may be required.ย
