Brasa Catering is seeking a seasonal Prep Cook!
Brasa Rotisserie is a nationally recognized casual restaurant owned by James Beard award winning chef Alex Roberts. We serve nourishing food inspired by traditional ingredients and flavors of the Southern U.S., Caribbean, and Mexico. Our unique style of food and hospitality make us one of the most popular restaurants in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commissary Prep Cook to join our kitchen team for a seasonal position (May-November). This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and supporting production for multiple locations and the catering department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow Brasa recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and quality
  • Label, date, and properly store all prepped items in accordance with food safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely (knives, mixers, slicers, etc.)
  • Support bulk food production for multiple outlets or locations
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies

The Prep Cook position is 5 shifts per week, nights and weekends, 30 hours a week. Previous restaurant experience is preferred. $18 an hour.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Schedule includes: evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
