Job description

More about the role:

Burson's Corporate Affairs practice is seeking to hire a Digital Account Supervisor supporting corporate social media strategy and execution across multiple client accounts. This role is ideal for a digitally fluent communicator with a strong corporate reputation mindset-someone who understands how brands and corporate leaders show up across social channels and how digital signals shape perception.

The Corporate Affairs team at Burson is a leading force in reputation management. The digital team complements this practice as the first line of defense and the strategic connector between the Corporate Affairs practice and Burson Digital's centers of excellence (Social & Influencer, Paid Media & Brand Partnerships and Digital Experience & Content Strategy). You are the thought partner who ensures digital is not an "add-on," but an essential, integrated component of our client's overall strategy from day one.

The Account Supervisor will work across a diverse portfolio of clients spanning Technology, Healthcare, Financial Services, and mission-driven organizations. The role requires strong writing and analytical skills, experience in social listening and audience insights, and the ability to contribute to executive thought leadership and corporate social programs.

This role is based in the Eastern or Central time zones and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including specialized digital strategists, paid media experts and social listening experts.

What you'll do:
  • Support Client Engagements:
Support day-to-day client communications and build strong working relationships with key contacts. Contribute to client meetings and ensure delivery of high-quality work aligned with client expectations.
  • Execute Social & Corporate Digital Strategies:
Support the development and execution of integrated digital and social media programs across corporate and executive channels, including LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Reddit for both organic and paid efforts. Apply a digital-first lens to all work, ensuring content and strategy reflect platform best practices and audience needs.
  • Social Listening & Monitoring:
Lead and support social listening and monitoring work streams, using tools such as Brandwatch (or similar platforms) to surface insights, track performance, and inform recommendations. Immediate focus includes managing ongoing listening work and emerging programs such as Reddit-based engagement initiatives.
  • Corporate Content Development & Executive Social:
Draft and edit content for owned and social channels, including executive thought leadership, corporate social media, and internal platforms. Bring a strong, audience-first writing style and understanding of tone across platforms.
  • Research, Audits & Insights Development:
Conduct social audits and competitive analyses across platforms including LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, and Reddit. Synthesize findings into clear insights and recommendations, supporting strategic planning and client deliverables.
  • Stakeholder & Influencer Mapping:
Support identification and engagement of key stakeholders, including subject matter experts, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and influencers across B2B and corporate ecosystems.
  • Project & Account Management:
Manage timelines, workflows, and deliverables across multiple accounts. Coordinate with internal teams, including strategy, analytics, and creative specialists, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Team Contribution & Mentorship:
Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members and interns, particularly on research, audits, and content development. Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Experience that contributes to success:
  • 4-6 years of experience in digital communications, corporate communications, or public affairs, with agency experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of corporate reputation, the current communications landscape, and how social media impacts brand and executive perception
  • Experience supporting social media strategy and execution across corporate and executive channels
  • Proficiency in social listening and analytics tools (Brandwatch preferred; experience with Meltwater, Talkwalker, Sprinklr, or similar platforms also considered)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting social audits, competitive research, and audience profiling
  • Strong writing and editing skills, particularly for executive and corporate audiences
  • Strong familiarity with key platforms including LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, and Reddit
  • An understanding of paid media strategies and tactics that can support corporate and public affairs efforts
  • Experience working with stakeholders, including SMEs, executives, and influencer/KOL ecosystems
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
