Principal Associate, Brand Manager
Capital One Auto is seeking an innovative and data-driven Brand Principal Associate to help lead dealer brand marketing efforts for the Auto line of the business. This associate will play a critical role in our B2B dealer engagement and retention strategies, focused on driving customer loyalty, maximizing lifetime value, and preventing churn throughout the customer lifecycle.
This role requires a strong mix of business knowledge and stakeholder management, omni-channel marketing experience, exceptional communication, proactive approach to becoming a subject matter expert in our dealer finance and product offerings, and strong data and analytical skills. This individual will lead the charge in crafting and implementing unified engagement and retention strategies that foster customer loyalty, partnership, and value while working closely with creative partners, execution teams, and business analysts. This role presents a powerful opportunity to take your influence, marketing strategy, and brand skills to the next level.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop integrated brand strategies and spearhead impactful marketing projects, serving as a key liaison and collaborator with cross-functional teams from Sales, Go To Market, Business Analysis, Product, Creative, Legal, etc.
  • Serve as the Brand representative to senior stakeholders, actively championing effective prioritization of initiatives aligned to business strategy
  • Develop a deep understanding of Capital One Auto's Navigator Platform and Dealer Finance offerings, serving as a subject matter expert on the Brand team
  • Craft overarching value propositions and storytelling for our dealer offerings that directly correlate with dealer adoption, satisfaction, and retention throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Execute and manage strategic brand development of new and ongoing nurture campaigns and testing initiatives for the Auto business
  • Develop creative briefs, working closely with creative and execution partners to bring the business intent to life via compelling marketing deliverables while caring for the nuances of our channel-specific execution systems, processes, and procedures
  • Collaborate with analysts to understand and report on campaign performance, building on outcomes to identify new opportunities to optimize marketing, test creative strategies, and segment audiences
  • Synthesize research insights, marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations to improve results and Brand impact, coordinating with cross-functional teams
  • Tell consistent and compelling stories about our products and services, while also championing our brand and the end customer experience
  • Influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking through excellent communication and presentation skills up to senior executives
  • Fully champion and embody well-managed processes, identifying opportunity gaps and driving improvements across immediate team and partner teams

This Associate should bring:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years of experience focused on direct response marketing, brand marketing, B2B marketing, or corporate communications or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services marketing
  • 2+ years of experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience with automotive B2B marketing and/or automotive lending providers
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing or communications department for a Fortune 500 company, or experience within an advertising or marketing agency

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Brand
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
