Job description

Principal Associate, Brand (Auto)

Capital One Auto is seeking a creative and customer-focused Principal Brand Associate to help lead event marketing efforts. This associate will play a critical role in our event strategy, working with a large cross-functional team, focusing on building iconic in-person customer experiences and engagement opportunities for executive-level attendees. You will be responsible for building event strategies, as well as leading and coordinating the creative development and compliance reviews of event activations while working closely with creative partners and execution teams. This highly visible role creates a powerful opportunity to take your leadership, event strategy, and brand skills to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic brand development of in-person event experiences for senior level executives

  • Develop creative briefs and work closely with creative partners to bring event strategies to life via engaging experiences

  • Serve as key liaison for and collaborate with cross-functional teams including partners from: Creative, Legal, Third-Party Vendors, etc.

  • Create white-glove experiences that are representative of our brand and serve as a foundation for relationship building

  • Influence internal decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking through excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Handle various project management tasks, adhering to event timelines and managing event budgets

  • Act as a steward for well-managed processes, identifying opportunity gaps where uncovered

This Associate should bring:

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, initiative, leadership, creativity, balance of proactive and reactiveness, and drive for results

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Experience leading and managing creative processes, working with creative teams

  • Able to autonomously manage the details of multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities simultaneously while maintaining excellent and accurate work

  • Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing, editing, and presentation abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite Sheets, Docs and Slides

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing or brand

  • At least 5 years of experience in event management or hospitality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree

  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Services marketing

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Plano, TX: $109,900 - $125,400 for Principal Associate, Brand











Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
