JOB TITLE: Regional Heavy Equipment Technician
POSITION TYPE: Permanent – Full Time

BRANCH: Milk River, AB

REPORTING TO:  Regional Aftermarket Service Manager

Responsible for the effective repair of agriculture machinery and components at high levels of quality.  This individual, will work under their own supervision on assigned work. HETR, works to: recondition and repair all agriculture equipment components and systems as assigned by the allocated branch shop foreman/manager within the branch; maintain good and timely working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases in repairs; maintain and care for shop tools, equipment and vehicles; communicate with others, internally and externally, professionally.


Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Safety is your responsibility 
  • Directed to help and support branches within the region by the RASM
  • Interact with Branch staff, Customers and Management as one of the safety champions
  • Assist local branch as required depending on local branch leadership structure.  
  • Recondition and repair all equipment components and systems as assigned by local branch leadership at Customer location or designated shop locations
  • Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies and outside purchases in repairs
  • Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment and vehicles
  • Communicate with others professionally, internally and externally
  • Order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs utilizing local parts departments
  • Maintain all work area in a clean and safe condition
  • Maintain an exceptional high level of customer and branch satisfaction
  • Work with RASM, SM and Foreman to identify and mitigate challenges and areas for improvement in the local area and build Customer base and trust
  • When Regional work is not available, will work out of assigned local RME shop location, traveling on own time.
  • Maintain assigned field service truck so that its ready to go when our customers require timely service
  • Travel to non home branch will be paid time, expense for Non Home branch support will be billed to Allocated Branch.
  • IDP and ADP completed by the RASM
  • This role is a Regional Support role, to assist all branches within the Region specifically but may be called upon to assit other regions and Provinces as work load and conditions present themselves1


Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:

  • Strong technical skills
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
  • Understanding of the agriculture and/or construction industry
  • Understanding and demonstrated use of health and safety best practices
  • Knowledge of Case IH and Case CE is an asset
