Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Alongside the Branch Manager, the Branch Operations Supervisor will:

  • Oversee the efficient operation of the branch to ensure all operational functions are completely and properly performed.
  • Provide daily workflow direction to branch staff to ensure effective lobby and line management that permits for exceptional member service.
  • Ensure the branch maintains five-star service through proactive coaching, member follow up, and going above and beyond to exceed member expectations.
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment for each team member by promoting skill development, coaching for improvement and growth, inspiring others through words and actions, ensuring positive employee morale throughout Yolo FCU, and embracing our mission, vision and core values.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, members, and other business units.
  • Maintain a high level of quality assurance through careful review, tracking, and follow up.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of employee roles and responsibilities in order to serve as an effective leader, role model and coach.
  • Assess performance of all direct reports; reward and recognize strong performers and create development plans to address performance issues. Track and monitor trends and opportunities, identifying root causes and taking proactive steps to ensure success.
  • Directly manage all human resource processes for all direct reports, including appraisals, disciplinary actions, individual development plan, career development, and training.
  • Identify, investigate, and respond to member concerns.
  • Lead and coordinate service promotion activities, which include outbound calls, and outside market efforts as needed and directed.
  • Keep branch staff abreast of all new products and services.
  • Monitor all internal policy and procedure controls to safeguard the funds and assets of Yolo FCU.
  • Proactively identify any potential issues keeping the branch from providing exceptional member service and provide potential solutions to senior branch leadership.
  • Provide recommendations, as needed, to more efficiently meet the financial needs of the members visiting the branch.
    Requirements:

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manage 1 to 4 staff members and is responsible for the overall coaching, development, and career pathing of these direct reports. The incumbent must carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and effectively resolving issues with both staff and members.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (highly preferred); minimum of one year in a supervisory capacity with one or more subordinates reporting directly to you in a financial institution or related business is required.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating policies, and procedure manuals. Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and loan documents. Ability to effectively prepare professional business correspondence, routine reports, and evaluations as well as effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to the public, members, and other employees.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra in order to calculate figures and amounts such as rates, discounts, interest, ratios, and percentages.
