Press Brake & Shear Operator.

Job Summary:
The CNC Press Brake & Shear Operator is responsible for running computer-driven press brake & shearing equipment to shape and form parts according to design requirements. This position calls for accuracy, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining both safety protocols and quality standards. The operator will also handle basic machine programming, perform troubleshooting as needed, carry out routine maintenance, and keep the work area clean and organized.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend metal parts and components according to specifications.
  • Interpret and read blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine appropriate bending sequences and dimensions.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure production schedules are met and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Follow safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the fabrication process.
  • 1-2 years’ experience operating a hydraulic press brake or other CNC type machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications, and to perform work therefrom or from other written or verbal instruction.
  • Proficient in math and measurements.
  • Attention to detail & Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be drug free.
