UNC Hospitals Rehabilitation Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist I to join our multidisciplinary team at the Center for Rehabilitation Care in Chapel Hill, NC. In this full-time position, you will provide high-quality care across the pediatric continuum for patients birth to 21 years of age, including developmental, orthopedic, and neurological rehabilitation. Diagnoses seen include gross motor delay, autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, gait disturbance, orthopedic conditions, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, torticollis, hematology/oncology and weakness. Our clinic emphasizes one-on-one sessionsto ensure personalized, patient-centered care, allowing you to deliver optimal outcomes and build strong therapeutic relationships.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and colleagues that are truly invested and passionate about the care they deliver. At the Center for Rehabilitation, you will work in collaboration with our dynamic and experienced pediatric focused therapy team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists, as well as pediatric physiatrists, social workers, financial navigators, and pediatric nurse coordinators. We are also engaged in weekly to monthly interdisciplinary clinics with Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, Neonatology, Orthopedics, Rheumatology and Urology to provide specialized holistic care for the following diagnoses, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Limb Deficiency, Special Infant Care Clinic (SICC), Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM), Neuromuscular Diagnoses, Brain Injury, Charcot Marie Tooth, Down Syndrome, and Rett Syndrome. Our team is at the heart of this growth and development to ensure that we are providing the best high-quality care to our patients and their families. In addition to patient care, you will engage in mentorship, professional development, student placements, and clinical program development, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on individual patients, future therapists, and the broader community.

Work Schedule:
The selected candidate will work 38 hours per week, flexible days and hours.
Responsibilities:
1. Completes physical therapy documentation, billing, and statistics per team guidelines. Manage daily caseload with efficiency and efficacy. Meets productivity standards per team guidelines.
2. Administers tests and measures to assist in establishing a plan of care and interventions and manages resources to accomplish patient goals; Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.
3. Mentors assistive personnel and delegates responsibilities as per licensing board guidelines.
4. Provides clinical precepting and teaching for students and/or staff under the guidance of the clinical specialist or other subject matter experts. Provides regular feedback, coaching and mentoring. Evaluates the learner's performance.
5. Assists in the planning and coordinating of clinical programs in collaboration with the clinical specialist or manager. Participates in continuous improvement in clinical services by attending and participating in departmental meetings and in-services.
