Job description

Physiatrist (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) - Interest in Brain Injury/Concussion specialization

Description:

  • OhioHealth is looking for a team member and leader to help further develop care for Traumatic Brain Injury patients within our system.

  • Seeking candidates with Brain Injury sub-specialty certification and experience to be the leader of our traumatic brain injury team. Fellowship ideal but not required depending on candidate experience.

  • Clinical requirements would include the majority of time in outpatient care, with opportunity to see TBI patients at our two main trauma acute care facilities (Riverside and Grant hospitals). Office procedures include chemodenervation (desired but not required) and EMG testing (if desired). No inpatient call coverage.

  • Patient care expectations are 12-15 patients per day.

  • Leadership responsibilities include continued development of our concussion care pathway, working with team members in the acute care and outpatient settings to ensure adequate care and transitions for TBI patients

  • Opportunities to teach PM&R fellows and for research (if desired)

Requirements:

  • BC/BE Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

  • TBI certification, or TBI fellowship desired
